This is the place to go for all the latest news regarding the Screen Actors Guild negotiations and an archive of Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike news as it relates to the Law & Order franchise. We were inspired by the incredible community wga_supporters, but thought by making a L&O-franchise specific blog (and yes Homicide: Life On The Street and Oz and The Wire fans are welcome too), it would be easier for fans of all the Dick Wolf and Tom Fontana/David Simon crime shows to find specific ways they can show their support for the franchise writers as well as being kept on top of the latest industry news as it relates to the franchise.

Your blog runners/moderators are polkadotsnplaid and vdovault. We are the Fans for WGA (wga_supporters) liaisons for Law & Order/L&O:SVU and L&O:Criminal Intent, respectively. If you would like to contact us, please drop us a comment on a post or email at law.and.order.fan@gmail.com.

Some questions (and answers):

-"I support the WGA/SAG but why should I join this community?" -- Joining shows support for the writers and actors of the Law & Order and Tom Fontana franchises. Without them, our favorite shows would not exist. In addition, you'll be kept up-to-date on all of the negotiations and strike news concerning our favorite shows -- how it's affecting the actors, writers, crewmembers, what they are saying, etc.

-"There seems to be a ton of ways to help support the WGA/SAG -- which ones are the best? What can I do to help?" Here, we hope to clarify what specifically is needed of fans, and what you can do to help.

-"So what's up with SAG/the WGA, anyway? I keep hearing different things from different sources." This community will also serve to clarify WHAT the issues are.

Again, we urge you to join and leave you with this -- a video message from several Law & Order actors, alongside a couple of Homicide: Life on the Streets / Oz alums.

Thanks from your moderators polkadotsnplaid & vdovault.
